If you’re looking for a big city getaway that isn’t too far from Philly, New York City. New York is just a short train or bus ride away! (I don’t recommend driving)

Don’t forget to see the main attractions like the Statue of Liberty and the Empire State Building if you’re feeling touristy. Or take a break from that tourist track and enjoy the endless varieties of cuisine and culinary excellence found around the city.
Things to consider are plenty of museums and institutions like the Met, Botanic Gardens, and the Cloisters. Walk the Highline, take the tram to Roosevelt Island, go to a Yankees game in the Bronx or a Mets game in Queens, or enjoy a shopping spree on Canal St. or in Soho.
