Are you out & about in Covent Garden and looking to have a little coffee break? You are in the right place here! Covent Garden, the vibrant & charming hub of London West End, is home to many amazing coffee shops, including some of the best ones out there in the city. In this article, we’ve put together a list of our favourite coffee shops in Covent Garden to help you find your perfect coffee spot!
Where to Find the Best Coffee Shops near Covent Garden
% Arabica
If you have been following me for a while, you’d know that % Arabica is an all-time favourite of mine in the world! Covent Garden was its first central London branch and they have been expanding around town since then. The Iced Lattes, especially the Spanish Iced Latte, is my summer go-to iced coffee drink in London and always so consistently good.
Watch House Seven Dials
The Watch House is the perfect spot for coffee connoisseurs looking for a modern coffee experience. Not only does it boast a state-of-the-art brew bar and industry-leading speciality coffee equipment, but it also has a beautifully designed space for you to escape the hustle & bustle of London West End.
Monmouth Coffee
Every coffee lover in London knows of Monmouth Coffee. Started in 1978 as one of the first speciality coffee pioneers in town, it remains one of London’s most well-known top coffee spots. I remember immediately falling in love with Monmouth Coffee when I first visited them in Borough Market back in 2012 and it is still one of my favourites today.
Chestnut Bakery
Nestled away in Covent Garden’s Floral Street is Chestnut Bakery, who has a stellar reputation in the world of breads & pastries, and serves some great coffees to go with them. The shop spans two floors and it’s quite the perfect coffee spot for a read or to catch up with some work. Make sure to also grab their award-winning croissants, which come with showstopping seasonal flavours & toppings, to go with your coffee!
Arome Bakery
Aside from being one of the most popular bakeries in London, Arome Bakery also makes excellent coffee. Using artisan coffee from Allpress Espresso, expect a strong intense hit of flavour and quality taste at each sip. Whether you’re having their signature Honey Toast or other viennoiseries with your coffee, it’s going to be the perfect munch.
Fabrique Bakery
The Scandinavians certainly know a thing or two about coffee. There is no better pairing for a Swedish cinnamon bun than a good strong cup of coffee. For the perfect fika, Fabrique Bakery offers exquisite coffees brewed by Swedish coffee roasters Johan & Nyström. The Nordic knotted buns may typically steal the spotlight but trust me that the coffee is the underrated star here!
Fair Shot Cafe
Besides a good cup of coffee, another reason to visit Fair Shot Cafe is to support its great cause of empowering young adults with learning disabilities! They are a social enterprise cafe and registered UK charity that aims to transform the lives of young adults with learning disabilities and/or autism through speciality coffee.
Knoops
Knoops is 100% more known for its chocolates and undeniably is the best hot chocolate spot in London. But they also share a strong passion & knowledge in coffee as well. You can find 100% Arabica speciality coffee from Brazil at Knoops, which is especially suiting for making a mean cup of Mocha!
