Why Advanced Planning for a Disney Vacation is Important

Why Advanced Planning for a Disney Vacation is Important
Sometimes it’s hard to plan a month out much less a year out. There is a lot involved in planning a trip to Disney World Resort in Florida. We highly recommend booking in advance, and here is why!
Resort Availability. The further out you book, the better resort room options you will find! This is especially important for large families. As a family of six, we often struggle to find the right accommodations for us that meet our needs and budget. If you plan to travel during holidays then this is vital!

Park Reservations. One big change to Walt Disney World recently is the need to reserve your park selections. No long does just a ticket get you in the door, but you need to have a reservation for the specific park you would like to visit. These can often book up several months in advance for the more popular times of year.

Dining. Dining is a huge part of any vacation! Can we say character meals? Those popular character meals book up fast! The booking window for Disney World dining reservations opens 60 days in advance of your arrival day. This is one of the biggest reasons advanced booking is so important. Just a week off can make or break the ability to get into those coveted restaurants at Disney World with a good seating time!

Details. Attention to detail is the name of the game! With four theme parks, 2 water parks, golf courses and a wealth of options at Disney Springs it’s important to get all the fine details planned out in advance. Your Whitney World Travel Advisor will help you fine tune your itinerary to make sure your top preferences are built into your plan.

Pricing. Pricing is often the lowest when you book in advance. Why? Because ticket pricing can increase at any time and as the entry room categories at resorts book up, you are forced to book a higher category.

Layaway. Booking in advance gives you more time to pay off that vacation! With a low $200 per room deposit requirement and reasonable final payment due date you could have up to a year to pay for that magical family getaway!

You can certainly book last minute and still enjoy your vacation experience at Disney World. But if there are certain resorts, restaurants and attractions on your ‘Must Do’ list then pre-planning is hugely important. Contact us today to begin planning your Disney World stay!
