Virgin Limited Edition is launching direct flights between its two Kenyan safari properties, creating a new dual-destination safari experience starting in June. The initiative coincides with Mahali Mzuri’s reopening following an extensive refurbishment and the addition of Finch Hattons to Virgin’s portfolio earlier this year.
The air connection will enable guests to travel between the two camps in just over an hour via Safari Link or Fly ALS during high season, combining experiences in the Masai Mara ecosystem and Tsavo West National Park in a single itinerary.
Mahali Mzuri, located in the 13,500-hectare Olare Motorogi Conservancy, will reopen in June following a complete interior overhaul of its 12 luxury tented accommodations, dining areas, bar, lounge and pool facilities. The camp is positioned along the Great Migration route, offering Big Five viewing opportunities.
Finch Hattons, which joined the Virgin Limited Edition collection in 2024, features 17 tents within Tsavo West National Park with views of Mount Kilimanjaro. The property is known for its access to Kenya’s red elephant population and proximity to geological features including the Shetani Lava Flow and Ol Doinyo Ololarami Volcano.
As part of the launch promotion, guests staying a minimum of four nights at either property will receive a complimentary fifth night at the other camp. Both properties offer cultural experiences beyond traditional game drives, including visits to local Kamba and Masai communities, hiking and specialized safari activities.
Rates start at $2,500 per person, per night at Mahali Mzuri and $1,405 per person, per night at Finch Hattons, based on double occupancy. Prices include all meals, beverages and twice-daily game drives. The internal flights between the properties are priced separately, starting from $405 with Safarilink and $466 with Fly ALS.
The promotion is available exclusively during Kenya’s high/migration season, with bookings now open.
